The signifigance of space

The question of why space holds our interest?
We do have some challenges, which are quite local in nature.

The concept of infinity can be overwhelming for the average individual. Through discussions with space scientists, I've come to understand that beyond our daily reality, there exists another realm governed by physical laws and life that transcends our everyday experience.

Space exploration has traditionally been conducted through the lens of physics, which is pervasive in our daily lives. However, we conduct research on various aspects of our daily lives using a variety of lenses. Why shouldn't we explore space through new lenses? Why do we consistently limit ourselves to a narrow perspective?

Space is a relative entity

Consider the observable universe we currently know, which encompasses only 5% of the total cosmic expanse. The remaining 95% is attributed to dark matter and dark energy. We have limited knowledge of what we can observe, let alone what lies beyond our reach. This unexplored reality undoubtedly exists, yet we lack the tools to fully explore it. It's possible that our current methods of exploration are flawed, or perhaps we are asking the wrong questions.

During a podcast, the idea of reassessing our questions using a novel approach was introduced. Instead of asking "how" the universe accelerates, we might ask "what is the motivating factor behind this acceleration?" This question arises from the understanding that nature does not act without purpose. Why does our universe need to expand at an accelerating rate? Analogies in the observable universe can provide insights into this phenomenon. Identifying the driving force behind the expansion of the universe is crucial.

Moving on to the next topic

The concept of envisioning the future is a captivating idea and a natural human desire.

When we observe our surroundings, we are essentially looking at history because light must travel a distance to our eyes and minds before we can comprehend the scene before us. This makes it impossible to directly observe the future.

However, there is one potential way to glimpse the future. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and imagine. My thoughts were confirmed by a space scientist I had the privilege of listening to. He emphasized the vast potential for imaginative exploration and theory-building in the realm of space. Without imagination, we remain confined to the history that we observe around us.
